WLAV & Tony Gates Food Drive

Thursday, March 13th ONLY!

Last year's food drive was so successful, we're repeating it!  Our goal - to beat the 2007 opening night collection of more than 2,000 sacks of non-perishable food items (minimum of 4 pounds or 6 cans or boxes).  This year's promotion is one night ONLY, Thursday, March 13th.  Bring your donation to the RV parked in front of DeVos Place and get in to the show FREE.  The food will be collected by MSAH volunteers and donated to God's Kitchen and other needy organizations.  Last year's drive, spearheaded by the popular WLAV-FM afternoon show host Tony Gates, resulted in several tons of food for the soup kitchen on South Division in Grand Rapids and other organizations who help the needy.  Beginning at 6am on Thursday, Gates will broadcast all day from an RV on Monroe Street in front of DeVos Place.  Help Tony Gates and MSAH volunteers set another record this year!

Bobbing for Trout Competition

WKLQ FM will be at the show on Thursday to host the Bobbing for Trout Competition at 8pm at the Trout Pond!  The grand prize winner will win an Utlimate Manistee Charter Fishing Getaway, which includes lodging at the Little River Casino / Hotel for 2 nights, a casino package and a 1/2 day charter fishing trip onboard Trout Scout III with Captain Gary Schaefer.  Listen to WKLQ FM for details on how to qualify to compete.
