Michigan’s biggest RV show returns to Grand Rapids January 15 to 18

3rd Annual Camper, Travel & RV Show brings 300 RVs, 100 lines under one roof

GRAND RapidsThe state’s largest RV show takes center stage January 15 to 18.  That’s when the Grand Rapids Camper, Travel & RV Show comes to DeVos Place, 303 Monroe Ave., NW in downtown Grand Rapids, for its 3rd annual, four-day run.

A dozen West Michigan dealers will fill the 200,000 square-foot facility with about 300 new motor homes, travel trailers, fifth wheels, truck campers and folding camping trailers made by 40-plus companies, more than 100 lines in all.

“A show this big produces the critical mass that brings everything together,” said Adam Starr, Show Manager.  “Patrons can see what’s new in the industry.  They can compare features and talk to technicians and other factory experts.  They can take advantage of show specials, company rebates and dealer incentives.  There are many great deals, and this is the year to buy.”

Dealers reserving space include General RV Center, TerryTown Travel Center, RV World, Holland Motor Homes, Midway RV Center, Veurink’s RV Center, Modern RV Center, American RV, All Seasons RV in Muskegon, and Caswell Company in Ionia.

Expanded exhibits of RV accessories, campgrounds and travel destinations are a key part of the show along with special features and seminars.  Ken Faber, a Grand Rapids native who collects vintage RVs, is bringing three must-see trailers to the show:  a 1930 Tin Can Tourist made in Detroit, a 1937 Hayes produced in Grand Rapids at the old American Seating factory, and an award-winning Airstream design.

Veteran RVers John Holod and Jodie Ginter from Arizona have produced several RV Adventure Videos which Jodie will present throughout the show.   In addition to the cross-country travelogues, she will answer questions and help patrons plan trips.

Hours are Thursday, January 15 from 3 to 9:30; Friday, January 16 from Noon to 9:30; Saturday, January 17 from 10 to 9; and Sunday, January 18 from 11 to 6.  Admission is $7.50 for adults, $3 for children 6 to 14 and free for children 5 and under.
