NOVI BACKYARD, POOL & SPA SHOW
OPENS NEXT WEEK, FRIDAY, MARCH 27 IN NOVI
NOVI, MI – March 27, 2009 – The Novi Backyard, Pool & Spa Show will run from Friday, March 27 through Sunday, March 29 at the Rock Financial Showplace in Novi with everything you need to turn your backyard into a vacation destination.
"Creating the perfect setting for vacationing at home is the focus of our 14th annual show," said Mike Wilbraham, show producer of ShowSpan, Inc. "We have everything from basic to elaborate on display to make your backyard dream a reality."
Attendees will see a dream backyard landscaped around a free form full-size fiberglass pool filled with water. In addition, an above ground swim spa, heated and in full operation, will feature an adjustable speed swim lane for exercise and fitness and a spa area for therapy and family fun.
Also exhibited will be inground and above ground pools. One exhibitor will offer a Build Your Own Backyard Pool program for the do-it-yourself market. Another will provide pool and spa renovations and resurfacing.
A variety of hot tubs and spas from standard to luxury styles with two to eight person seating, waterfalls, jets, enclosures, gazeboes and cabinet finish choices will be available and operating.
Several landscaping companies will create outdoor living landscape displays for homeowners to visualize in their backyard. The displays include a fire pit, outdoor kitchens and cooking areas, seating walls, wood-burning outdoor fireplace waterfall and brick paver, flagstone and bluestone patios. Other distinctive features include stone pillars fitted with low voltage lights in glass blocks, pottery fountains, ponds, natural water features, streams, waterfalls, fountains and boulder and block retaining walls. The landscapers design and install new or renovate existing backyards to enhance the beauty and value of a home.
Dining and deep seating patio furniture will be shown with choices of upholstery and finishes, free-standing wood and gas stoves for sunrooms, traditional and infrared indoor and outdoor saunas and custom wood and maintenance-free decks.
Active showgoers will benefit from the outdoor multipurpose sports flooring for backyard and indoor home gyms that homeowners can try, basketball hoops, court lighting and sports netting.
Other exhibits at the show will display products and services from the major outdoor living environment categories including inground and aboveground pools, spas, hot tub, swim spas, decks, patios, fencing, outdoor living spaces, patio furniture, outdoor court systems, patio enclosures, sunrooms and accessories.
Experts are available with tips and advice on purchasing, planning, maintenance, safety, exercise, health, financing and landscaping.
Homeowners can get the information they need about buying a pool or spa at show exhibits.

The show is sponsored by the Michigan Pool & Spa Association, member of the Association of Pool & Spa Professionals (APSP).
Rock Financial Showplace is located at 46100 Grand River Avenue between Novi and Beck Road in Novi. Show hours are from 3 – 9:30 p.m. Friday; 11 a.m. – 9:30 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m. - 6 p.m. Sunday.
Admission is $8; $4 for children 6-14 and children 5 and under admitted free.
